The hotel and golf course opened in September 2002, and form part of the Barceló Montecastillo Resort, offering accommodation in 49 rooms and 18 villas amidst functional, peaceful surroundings. It includes a castle dating from 1900 which now houses the golf club, as well as a restaurant, café, bar and rooms for banquets and events. In 2002 the other building of the hotel opened with the guest rooms and additional dining and function facilities. It is an ideal hotel for groups and exclusive events, for anyone who wishes to have their activities in a private area. The hotel is fully air conditioned and offers facilities including a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, currency exchange facilities and lift access. A hairdressing salon and children's playground also form part of the complex. Internet access, room service and laundry service are available, and guests arriving by car may make use of the car park and garage.\n\nLocation\nThe hotel is situated 10 minutes from the centre of Jerez, right beside the racing circuit of Jerez de la Frontera, and just 20 minutes from Arcos de la Frontera and Puerto de Santa Maria with its beach. Bars, nightlife and shopping, as well as the bus and train stations, can be found 10 minutes' drive away in the centre of Jerez. The hotel is also around 20 km from the Ruta de los Pueblos Blancos and the Costa Gaditana. Cádiz is around 35 km away. San Pablo-Sevilla Airport is around 60 km away and Jerez Airport is some 15 km away.\n\nRooms\nThe hotel offers light-filled accommodation, decorated in Andalusian style. Most rooms have a balcony or terrace and many offer views of the golf course. The en suite bathrooms include a shower, bath and hairdryer. Rooms offer double or king-size beds, a direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, Internet access, a safe, minibar and air conditioning and central heating.\n\nSport\nThe resort has 2 outdoor swimming pools and one indoor heated pool.
