The Lavris Paradise Hotel and Bungalows is a traditional style property built in a natural setting. The Lavris Hotel is part of the Lavris Complex which consists of two 4-star hotels, the Lavris Hotel and Bungalows and the Lavris Paradise. Gouves has a lively centre with bars, tavernas, and plenty of shops and there is also a good public transport system to Crete's major towns including Heraklion, Malia and Hersonissos.\n\nThe Lavris Hotel and Bungalows is situated in the resort of Kato Gouves, 12 miles east of Heraklion the capital of Crete, 500 metres from the beach and 1.5 miles from the old picturesque village of Gouves. The bustling resort of Hersonisos is approximately five miles away and all the above places can be visited by an efficient, cheap and regular bus service which stops 150 metres from the hotel.\n\nRenovated during the winter of 2008/2009 the Lavris Hotel and Bungalows consists of 110 comfortable rooms all with a private bath or shower, telephone, satellite TV, mini fridge, hair dryer, air-conditioning (individually controlled) and a balcony or terrace. Some of the rooms offer sea view or side sea view and the internet and safety deposit boxes are available with extra charge (payable locally). \n\nUpon arrival you are welcomed by a tastefully furnished reception area and once settled in there is a lobby bar, a satellite TV area, table tennis, a mini market and souvenir shop, an open air children's playground and a mini club (open 2 hours per day), a poolside snack bar and a restaurant to explore. The Lavris Hotel also has three fresh water swimming pools (one indoor) and two separate children pools, and a gym and a sauna (both with extra charge). \n\nGuests of the Lavris Hotel and Bungalows can enjoy water sports on the beautiful beach of Gouves (with extra charge) and there is a tennis court available at a nearby hotel, 2 minutes walk away. Toasted sandwiches are available at the bar from 11am-12.30pm and 4-6pm. Biscuits and ice-cream are served from 4-6pm. Beverages for AI guests are served from 10am-11pm. After 11pm please note that all drinks are chargeable.
