Platanias is the most tourist and famous seaside area of west Crete. A wealth of extremelly interesting exquisite sights (archeological, historic and cosmopolitan) is really close to it. The city of Chania also includes the Old Town and the Venetian Harbor, it also has plenty of museums . Some of the others sights are Venizelos Graves Area, Samaria Gorge, Kournas Lake, Falasarna and Elafonisi beaches or Agia Triada.
